About Leo Abrahams
Leo Abrahams lives in London and works in very diverse areas of music. He has been involved in the creation of 350 projects, both solo projects and collaborations with Imogen Heap, David Holmes, Paul Simon, Marianne Faithfull, Nick Cave, Brian Eno, Adele, Ed Sheeran, Annie Lennox, Bryan Ferry, Seal and others. Music composed or performed by Leo is featured in numerous films including Code 46, The Lovely Bones and the Ocean’s series.Leo’s solo works are a universe of their own, ranging from guitar ambient (Scene Memory, 2006) to rock-cabaret (The Unrest Cure, 2008), from instrumental bard-folk (Honeytrap, 2005) to gear testing (Guitar Stuff (2008).
Culturally omnivorous, Leo is a person of fascinating openness and musicianship, whose total dedication to each and every project gives listeners, colleagues and producers no choice - they literally fall in love. Leo is a self-proclaimed Russophile who has recorded with Boris Grebenshchikov of Aquarium and participated in Ilya Khrzhanovsky’s Dau project. During his 2019 tour, Leo will perform a solo programme of guitar electronics and ambient soon to be released on CD.
