The event brings together leading artistic administrators and senior managers from symphony orchestras around the world for a wide-ranging professional discussion. As part of the UK-Russia Year of Music, the festival has invited representatives of the UK orchestras this year.

Gavin Reid, Chief Executive of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, will talk about the role played by symphony orchestras and concert halls in the development of city life and will illustrate his lecture with some examples from the UK cities.

Catherine Arlidge, Artistic and Educational Director at the National Children’s Orchestras of Great Britain, will talk about the musician’s activity outside the concert hall and alternative forms of music education.
