Tele-Club Touring in cooperation with Melt!Booking and Emika Records presents «If We Disappear» — an extended live show by the British singer and sound-artist Ema Jolly, widely known under her stage name Emika.
The performance will take place on February 20th at the Moscow Planetarium as part of the program of events for the Year of Music of Great Britain and Russia, which is held by the British Embassy in Moscow with the support of the British Council.
Audiovisual program «If We Disappear» is based on Emika’s album «Falling in Love With Sadness» (2018), it was developed together with 3D-projections studio «Bordos.Artworks». The premiere of the program took place at the Karl Zeiss Major Planetarium in Berlin.
Emika’s live vocal, her masterful piano playing and hypnotic beats are accompanied by impressive 360-degrees visual projections. This is an immersive acoustic and visual travel into Emika’s world of daydreams and rueful feelings.
An Englishwoman with Czech roots, Ema Jolly was born in the British town of Milton Keynes. As a teenager, she began her first experiments with sound diving into the possibilities of a cassette recorder. Obtaining a complete higher education in music production technology, Emika moved to Bristol where she witnessed the early days of dubstep. Her first releases were praised by critics and listeners, Thom Yorke featured a track by Emika on his compilation for the BBC Radio.
Currently Ema Jolie resides in Berlin, continues her musical path as a classical composer and electronic music producer. In 2017 Emika released her first symphony «Melanfonie» and in 2019 she directed her first audiovisual show for the Berlin Planetarium.
