A one-day festival of lectures about music and cultural ties between Russia and the UK, from the time of Shakespeare to the time of the Beatles, was held in St. Petersburg. It took place on January 11 at the club “Union”.

This is one of the UK-Russia Year of Music projects. Chords & Words is a series of ten festivals dedicated to the symbiosis of music and literature. Events have already taken place in Rostov-on-Don, Perm, Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Petrozavodsk, and Kazan. The project is run by ANO Literary and Historical Club with the support of the British Embassy in Moscow. The project’s curators are Mikhail Faustov and book critic Konstantin Milchin.
