Valentine's Day in Nekrasov Library is a must for all lovers of British music. Join us to celebrate the culmination of a year of Chords and Words project, including a series of open seminars held across Russia as part of the UK-Russia Year of Music. On 14 February, we will compare the musical traditions of Britain and Russia and build bridges between various representatives of the local music industry, including performers, composers, journalists, and researchers.

The Words part of the evening will include a marathon of 15-minute declarations of love for the most precious things in British music. Participants will honour their favourite songs, artists, styles, and eras. Presentations will be accompanied by audio and video illustrations. Participants will include: Yevgeny Bylina, Lev Gankin, Varvara Kraminova, Alexander Manotskov, Danil Maslovsky, Grisha Prorokov, Elena Revich, Felix Sandalov, Maxim Semelyak. Moderators: Maria Galkina and Konstantin Milchin.

A small concert including Zhenya Gorbunov (Intourist) performing an improvisational live set and music from English-language dream-pop trio Chkbns will end the event with some Chords.

Date: 14 February. Doors at 19:30.

Venue: Library named after N.A. Nekrasov (Baumanskaya street, 58/25, b. 14), Moscow.

Free admission.
