“British Musical Seasons” is a series of concerts at the venues of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic taking place between October 2019 and March 2020. In these concerts, world famous classical works and contemporary music by British composers will be presented and performed by a new generation of young British musicians.
The “British Musical Seasons” programme will present joint performances of the Siberian State Symphony Orchestra together with performers from Royal Opera House (Jette Parker Young Artists Programme), talented musicians of the Young Classical Artists Trust and Claire M Singer - organist, composer, producer and performer of acoustic and electronic music, films and installations. Instrumentalists, opera singers and an organist will perform music by Benjamin Britten, Sir Edward Elgar, Vaughan Williams, Peter Tchaikovsky and Sergey Prokofiev amongst others together with the Siberian State Symphony Orchestra, based in Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic. Founded in 1938, the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic is the oldest Philharmonic society in Siberia. Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic plays a leading cultural role in the Siberian Federal region of Russia.
In addition to the performances, the guest performers will also conduct master-classes for local music schools and students of the Siberian State Institute of Arts.

“British Musical Seasons” is part of UK-Russia Year of Music 2019 and is supported through the Grant scheme for Russian organisations.
