‘In Collaboration’ will take place on Friday 28 February at Powerhouse Moscow as part of a UK music industry trade mission to Russia to form meaningful relationships between both countries through the exchange of business and artistic expertise. AIM is the non-profit trade body exclusively representing the UK’s independent music sector whose members include some of the world’s most respected and innovative record labels and self-releasing artists.

This event will become a part of the UK-Russia Year of Music 2019 programme, which is conducted by the British Embassy in Moscow with the support of the British Council.

For two days, three extraordinary UK artists  – an Oscar-nominated composer Simon Fisher Turner, a Glastonbury Festival headliner Andrew Hung, and a singer-songwriter AGAMA inspired by the black female writers who came before her – and three equally exciting Russian acts will come together in a Moscow studio to produce something special.

The experiment will see them drawing upon their own rich musical cultures and achievements to share ideas, inspire one another and learn from each other’s techniques. For one night only, this special showcase will feature performances of each artist’s work and the results of these collaborations.

But what will the results be? Only the people in the room will find out.
