During the UK-Russia Year of Music 2019, there will be a series of concerts in Krasnoyarsk and a number of other Siberian cities featuring UK musicians, finalists of the prestigious international classical music awards: Timothy Ridout, Benjamin Baker, Nicholas McCarthy, Peter Donohoe, and Sacconi Quartet, organist Claire M Singer and soprano Sarah-Jane Lewis. 

The UK instrumentalists, opera singers, and the organist will perform music by Benjamin Britten, Sir Edward Elgar, Vaughan Williams, Peter Tchaikovsky and Sergey Prokofiev amongst others together with The Siberian State Symphony Orchestra, based in Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic. Founded in 1938, the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic is the oldest Philharmonic society in Siberia. Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic plays a leading cultural role in the Siberian Federal region of Russia.

In addition to the performances, the guest performers will also conduct master-classes for local music schools and students of the Siberian State Institute of Arts.
