Leo Records' 40th Anniversary tour in Moscow and St Petersburg will bring together legends from the Russian Jazz scene alongside the UK duo, Carolyn Hume and Paul May. The festival programme will include performances by Hume and May, Alexey Kruglov, Oleg Yudanov and Evgeny Masloboev, with special ensemble performances merging the musicians together.
On their debut visit to Russia, Carolyn and Paul will perform at notable venues in Moscow and St.Petersburg , and will also perform as a trio with the fantastic, world-renowned Saxophonist Alexey Kruglov. Their visit will coincide with their latest release on Leo Records “Kill the Lights”.
Alongside the programme there will be workshops, talks, and a special screening of a film to commemorate 40 years of the label.
The festival will culminate in a recording session, bringing the UK and Russian musicians together to cement their new musical relationships.
